Goals and Areas of Focus
The ISAMB’s R&D will focus on five key areas, the Programmes, and its most relevant topics, the Research Lines, within the Environmental Health domain. Each Programme, led by a Principal Investigator (PI), is developed by a Research Group (RG) sharing its Programme name.
The thematic Programmes put together the strengths of R&D in public health, different clinical areas, and gene-environment interactions, as well as a broad range of renowned experts. This leads to that ISAMB’s R&D can focus on key environmental factors and related behaviours, as well as their effects on health and wellbeing.
Besides the contribution to secure continued backing for R&D and education-training, each ISAMB’s RG will be encouraged to actively seek business and community involvement to make its research social-economically relevant. Across and within each RG, the ISAMB’s activities will then be fully integrated and crosswise articulated in the four intervention dimensions research, education & training, economic & social innovation, and diffusion, dissemination & outreach as shown here .
